Another paper pieced pin cushion.
Costco is a magical place...a collection of my favorite Colorado craft brews!
Well my first Devon pouch came out terrible and it’s not Instagram worthy but I am putting it out there anyway. I’m going to try another one another day. I screwed up on using my zipper foot which I don’t usually use. I know where things went wrong. I think I’ll write a blog post about the whole disaster! @chambersdalix @kathy_quilts @kait_sews
My idea of a perfect wild Saturday night: Listening to the show “R&B Jukebox” on KUVO and cutting out and preparing the pieces for two #devonpouch by @sotakhandmade (She has awesome patterns and posts awesome videos on YouTube showing step-by-step creation of her bags and pouches). Making these pouches along with Quilting buddies @chambersdalix @kathy_quilts @kait_sews, They will be posting their finished bags to IG like me! #kuvojazz
Mike put himself in a time out after eating the half Starbucks sandwich I had sitting on the coffee table after he had his puppachino!
Got some yummy scraps in the mail from a friend! Can’t wait to play with them 🧵 🪡 😀🪡✂️
OMG. One of the best audiobooks I’ve ever listened 🎧 to (brilliantly and flawlessly narrated by actress Carey Mulligan) as well as one of the most uplifting books I’ve ever read. I’ve been trying to work through the 2020 Goodreads Readers Choice Awards list and I have not been disappointed!
That delicious feeling when the quilt is quilted and now all you need to do is put the binding on and sew 🧵 it down and the quilt is done! Soon I’ll be able to send this baby quilt out to the parents to be!
But to balance out the other post I did have delicious avocado 🥑 toast for breakfast this morning in Fort Collins :-)
My vegan and vegetarian friends please avert your eyes. We spent the weekend in Fort Collins Colorado and had the most amazing pork belly bites over grits at a farm to table restaurant.
Friday we saw Nomadland at the theater on Friday and Frances McDormand was sublime! Honestly when my husband first died I thought about just buying a van and working my way around the country like she does in this movie...
Mike the Miniature Schnauzer is the guest blogger on today’s tierneycreates.com/blog post!
Cozy flannel baby quilt in progress for a Pacific NW baby boy whose parents are outdoor adventurers.
I’ve been invited to participate in the Artists Teaching Students program of the Beaverton Oregon School District’s Art Literacy Program. See my latest tierneycreates blog post for more info. So honored!
Excited about the next project I’ll be starting - A recycled denim quilt. (once I finish this baby quilt I’ve been working on...)
My new studio table top made by Mr. Woodworker. It was a free table I got from a community board and he created a new top/work surface for it!
Sigh...my Photos app reminded me that a year ago today I was on holiday in Cabo San Lucas and COVID was only a vague rumor...
Something yummy being made for my studio by Mr. Woodworker in his workshop … More to come
Mr. Woodworker 🪵 figured out how to make large spools for my special ribbons 😀
I think about the inaugural poem all the time. I want to be a source of light.
