After 3+ years of writing on my tierneycreates blog, I thought it would be fun to reach out to other online publications. A new online publication, Minimalism.life invited me to write a short essay summarizing my minimalism journey in 250 – 300 words.
My article, “Living as a demi-minimalist”, was published in their newsletter today (Letter No. 8). Below is the link:
Living as a demi-minimalist
This new online journal, Minimalism.life, was developed in partnership with The Minimalists who I have followed via their blog for several years, listened to their weekly podcasts, read their books and saw their movie (now on Netflix) – Minimalism: A documentary about the important things.
So I am honored to share a little of my journey in this publication!
Wow! Congrats on the online publication, Tierney! This is a beautiful reflection, and beautifully written. It strikes a real chord! Thanks for sharing the journey to peace and lasting joy. 😀

Looking forward to having a listen tomorrow – wow – bet you feel fantastic. Even without listening yet it reminds me I once saw a trick to learn to write more interesting stuff – write every day and try to do it minimally but in an interesting way!

I love that description of “demi-minimalist”. I feel that that’s the direction I’m headed – not currently undertaking a very intentional process of having few things, but being very conscientious of what things I bring into my life. Perhaps this is the beginning of a chain of small to medium changes you identified. Thanks for sharing, and congrats on the publication (:

Wow, 15 years! Good for you. I just started about a year ago and really can’t believe who I used to be and the habits that came with that petson. My friend moved to Settle and said it’s outrageously expensive, so I can see why you would move. Good luck on your journey!

Thanks so much for your comments! It is an ongoing challenge to keep my life curated with only those things that bring me joy (lots of other stuff keeps trying to sneak in, ha!) 😀
