A Crafter's Life, Colorado Bound

Colorado Bound (Part I)

I’ve decided to relocate – to Northern Colorado. Either the Denver Greater Metropolitan area or to Boulder, Colorado:

Why Colorado? Well here is a list that summarizes the reasons for my decision:

  1. I need to move to a major airport hub to put me closer to visiting my family and to make world traveling (should I choose to do that) more accessible.
  2. I have a longtime friend that lives in the Denver area.
  3. I have visited Colorado many times and love it.
  4. I need a new adventure.
  5. I hear they have a great quilting community
  6. The climate (high desert, high elevation) is similar to Central Oregon.
  7. It feels right.
  8. I want to live in a large metropolitan/urban area with more cultural opportunities.
  9. I love the mountains and always want to live near mountains.
  10. Look how beautiful this place is (The Flatirons near Boulder, CO):

  1. So many positives in this thinking! Especially the airport to make it easier to stay in touch with your and Terry’s family. Such a beautiful area for one like you who is so connected to nature!

  2. OK, this is hardly fair since you were so close and I never got to visit you (I was thinking about it if I ever got up the motivation/found the time for a Central Oregon getaway). Still, having been to Sisters, I can understand the desire for something a little bigger and I think you’ve picked a gorgeous spot!! Happy trails to you and best of luck with the move.

  3. I am so happy for you that you are following your dream and beginning new adventures. We will so miss your presence in Central Oregon. You have been an inspiration to me and many others in the our SAQA group and beyond. No matter where you are I will continue to follow your blog. Happy Adventures! -Mary

  4. Denver holds a special place in my heart–mostly because of the people. We’ve been gone from Denver 30 years, but we still have friends we visit. I know you will be at home in Colorado. If not for Bend we would be back there. Enjoy the next journey. Betty

  5. Always had mountains to look at in NY, PA, MD, Korea, Japan and when I lived in the Denver area.

But I’ve retired and now live in Southern, Fl.

No mountains to break the scenic monotony.
A sure recipe for going insane!
