Yes it’s another hat…
I am a nervous passenger in the car and need to be working on a craft project to distract me.
Since I am finishing up the border on the grey granny square blanket (see post Guest Blogger Post: The Granny Square Blanket SHOULD Be Done…), I am “granny squared out” and not really into working on the squares for another blanket.
So it was time to start an easy mindless project – a hat – in the same pattern I always use – ha!

Me in the car, knitting away from my passenger seat…
It’s actually going to be a two yarn hat as I am using up two different smaller leftover balls of yarn. I had enough of the variegated yarn you see in the photo above to get that far and now I am adding in a denim-ish colored yarn that is close to one of the colors in the variegated yarn.
We’ll see how it comes out…it’s for me anyway so as long as it is a functional hat I am good!
Oh a friend sent me this the other day and it gave me a giggle, so I thought I’d share with you all and I hope if you have a dog they do not need to contact this “Pawfirm”! (Mike could contact them as we are guilty of this…)

Oh, Tierney! I have seen that meme too. I laughed so hard! Of course all of my friends (who know I am a sucker for golden retrievers) sent it to me. I think the hat is lovely, btw.

Thanks so much and I’ve looked at that meme way too many times – I wish I could credit the creator of it as they were brilliant!

We don’t even have a dog but I got a big laugh out of the paw firm. I expect most dogs consider themselves entitled to compensation…

I cannot seem to get into the craft or sewing idea in the car – I should maybe give it a try, though, before I decide I can’t, right? Haha! I like your hat colors, and that meme makes me chuckle!

Well don’t try it while driving 😉
Ha!
Thanks on the hat color – I really like the blue variegated yarn.

Something tells me your hands are just as busy at home as they are in the car. That is the cutest meme mostly because I have done that too!

Oh we break all the treats in half as Mike is only 18 pounds. I hope he never finds out about this class action suit by this attorney – ha!

Your hat is looking great. It feels so good to use up leftover yarn. I have to knit when John is driving or I am too jumpy.

Thanks so much and maybe it’s a “John” thing – we both have to be distracted while men named John are driving – ha!

They probably talk about it at their John meetings.

Dogs are getting sophisticated.
I have a hard time doing anything useful while ridding in a car. Particularly if I need to keep looking at what I’m doing. The color of the hat is nice. 😊

I’m just waiting when our dog Mike can also handle filing our taxes, ha! Thanks for stopping by 🙂

Higgins says he is fully aware of treat sizes, and just stands there till we hand over the rest of it, but he is a very entitled doggo. I can’t do hand work in the car, our roads are mostly too bumpy and I get nauseous, not to mention the risk of stabbing myself multiple times with a needle. Ah, the joys of travel in North Queensland, where the government doesn’t think it needs to spend any money on infrastructure outside the major cities…

Oh! You cannot get away with breaking a treat in two I see! I think with bumpy roads I would have trouble knitting/crocheting, makes sense. Sorry they don’t keep up the infrastructure!

Huge country, small population, and the further north you get the fewer taxpayers there are to support proper maintenance. We are resigned, but it’s infuriating to see good roads in the south of the state, because State Capital blah blah blah.

I’ve seen that Pawfirm on Facebook, and it makes me smile every time. I’m impressed that you can knit while in a moving car. Do you ever feel car-sick? I’m a nervous passenger as well, so I can appreciate how valuable it is to have a project on the go. I love that shade of blue!

It gave me quite the laugh! I only feel car sick on winding roads, otherwise I am okay. I love to do handwork in the car, it keeps me calmer! I am not the best passenger, ha!
Thanks 🙂

Ah, another hat. Quicker than making an afghan!

Oh yes much quicker and it stays small for portability 🙂
