The middle of October, John and I went “Pumpkin Picking” at a Rock Creek Farm in Broomfield, Colorado with his 15 year old granddaughter, her parents and their dog. It was a gorgeous day.
I made my stepson, his wife and his daughter all “Fall Fun Bags” for the day with Autumn themed snacks, tea (all three of them love tea like I do), and other treats. I used recycled paper handle bags and decorated them with customized gift tags.

We also took them for their first trip to Buc-ees, a place I am not sure how to describe except as a “convenience store on steroids with a gas station”, for lunch.
I waited in the back of John’s truck with their dog (we sat outside in the truck bed), while they got their food (and treats) at Buc-ees.
John’s granddaughter had an awesome time (it’s a success when a teenager is fully engaged and having fun on a family event, right?) and we had a family picnic in the parking lot of Buc-ees using the truck bed!

Thank you! Living in Texas you definitely have heard of the place, ha! I feel like I am on a sociological study when I visit there or I am an extraterrestrial whose just landed on earth and observing their customs – ha!

It was such a beautiful day. I love the colors blue and orange together so I loved the backdrop of the beautiful blue sky with the pumpkins (I didn’t include all the cool photos I took). Thanks for stopping by 🙂

Looks like you had great weather and a great time. I know about Buc-ees, a little over a year ago they opened one about an hour away and the first time I went inside I was blown away!!!!

It was so gorgeous through most of October! There is a joke that we had all 4 seasons each day – cold in the morning (winter), warming up in the mid morning (spring), warm in the afternoon (summer) and then cooling down in the early evening (fall)!

Thanks it was a fun and so beautiful day! Now we are deep in snow/gloomy skies and it seems like a long time ago it was so warm and pretty – ha!
