Hello Autumn

tierneycreates: a fusion of textiles and smiles

The leaves are really starting to change in my section of eastern section of the Denver Metropolitan area of Colorado that we live in. I thought I would share a couple photos from my recent daily walks and a hike we went on at Castlewood Canyon State Park.

And of course I had to take a Black & White photo of the Autumn foliage scene during my daily walk:

We’ve had some lovely Autumn evenings enjoying the cooler weather. Here is a photo from last week when John and I were hanging out at our friends’ home on their patio visiting with one of their dogs. We still miss our Mike the Miniature Schnauzer terribly but we appreciate our friends sharing their dogs with us!

  1. When I lived further south, in NSW, I used to get wonderful autumn colour and have many photos. These days, the tropics don’t offer much because the season doesn’t really exist. Summer, the wet season, slowly transitions to Winter, the dry season and there’s no real visible sign. Most trees here are evergreen in that there’s no big leaf fall, although some species do drop their leaves when it gets cooler. Your photos capture the exuberant colour beautifully.

  4. You are getting some beautiful autumn color there! Love how blue the sky is and how lovely the yellow and orange leaves look against it 🙂 Nice that you still get to visit with your friends’ dogs!
