Little Wallet Madness

tierneycreates: a fusion of textiles and smiles

As mentioned in recent previous posts, I have been making little wallets from my fabric scraps.

Endless wallets. Cutting out fabric from templates in the evening while watching TV and then engaging in marathon assembling and sewing.

58+ wallets later, I am ready to share photos of the wallets.

First here are 55 of them (two I recently I gave away as gifts and one I kept for myself):

I had so much fun rummaging through my boxes of fabric scraps and putting together various combinations. Here are photos of a couple of the insides of the little wallets to demonstrate some of the color and texture combinations I used for the inside pockets:

I plan to do a “Little Wallet” giveaway to celebrate the 4th anniversary of my blog in October so stay tuned. They are perfect for business cards, a place to keep punch cards (like frequent customer cards) or to use as a wallet.

  6. Have you considered adding a string or cord to some of them so they could be worn cross-body or around ones neck? That’s how my memory-impaired mother wears hers and it’s been a godsend. And women’s clothing doesn’t always have pockets if you wanted to take it to a festival or someplace you don’t want a whole purse. Just a thought. They’re cute!

  8. Oh my gosh Tierney! So many beautiful little wallets! I love your fabrics, so diverse. It is fun to get on a kick, one year I made 100+ felt ornaments, I just couldn’t stop. Did you make the pattern? I’d love to try making one of these.

  9. Good morning dear friend, oh my, I cannot believe you made all of these little wallets and they are ALL so nice. You do great work. How could you make so many? I am pretty focused but would never make it through such an adventure. You are amazing. I am so enjoying your FB posts with your family back east. I hope you enjoy every moment of your trip. I am still sad that you can’t make it to the quilt retreat….but totally understand. Hugs and more hugs….Linda Lou

    I love reading YOUR blogs because I can truly feel the experience. It brings a smile to my face and I am entertained. Also, I love the the schnauzer snips sharing their stories about their humans as I feel I communicate with animals better than some people and I love my fur baby’s! 💗💗💗💕💜❤️
